Shot Blaster

Location: Chester

Working hours: Mon-Thurs 8.00-5.00, Fri 8.00-1.00

Overview: This is a great opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing/engineering business in Chester. You will receive full training and support, working in a friendly and relaxed environment, and be made to feel part of the team from day one.

Candidate profile: You may be an experienced shot blaster, or willing to train the right individual who has worked in a similar manufacturing/engineering environment and is looking to develop a new career.

Company background: They are a growing and stable business with guaranteed long order books. Part of a privately owned global organization with 9,000 employees, their products are shipped worldwide, including Europe, Middle East, Far East, Asia, and the Americas. They value progressiveness in their products and processes.

Role responsibilities include:

  1. Loading and unloading components onto the track system
  2. Preparing hangers prior to blasting
  3. Preparing finished products for dispatch to the factory
  4. Loading and unloading (if FLT license held)
  5. Shot blasting
  6. Housekeeping

Additional requirements: Having a valid forklift truck license is advantageous but not essential.

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience) with development opportunities
  • Monday to Friday (Days)
  • 39 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8.00-5.00, Friday 8.00-1.00)
