CVS Vets in Rotherham is seeking a Weekend/Saturday Veterinary Surgeon for our Springfield Vets, Rotherham Hospital. This permanent role supports routine GP care for small animals and offers opportunities to engage with ECC cases without night shifts.
The position is based at our Rotherham Hospital and requires weekend availability. The role includes a flexible Saturday rota with average 5 hours per week across alternate Saturdays.

We have an opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join us at our Rotherham Hospital on a permanent contract. This role would suit someone who is confident seeing routine appointments and is interested in ECC cases but does not want to commit to night shifts.
Rota: Average 5 hours a week, covering alternate Saturdays. We can be flexible and can also consider other shift patterns alongside this so please get in touch to discuss options.

We are a friendly, forward-thinking 24-hour hospital, staffed overnight by our own dedicated out-of-hours team to ensure continuity of care. Our RCVS-accredited hospital is rated "Outstanding" and was the second practice in the UK to achieve all six "Outstanding" awards after their introduction.
Our facilities were significantly enhanced in May 2022, including the addition of a CT scanner, allowing us to offer a high level of diagnostic capability in-house.
Our team comprises 15 vets and 22 nurses, including Advanced Practitioners in cardiology, ECC, surgery, and medicine, who work alongside a strong group of experienced GPs. On a weekend, the hospital is staffed by 2 other vets, 4 RVNs, receptionists a senior, experienced vet who oversees inpatients and can handle complex cases and surgeries - this would be a great development opportunity for anyone with 1+ years experience who is interested in ECC. We foster a highly collaborative environment, with regular case discussions, skill sharing, and supportive teamwork across all levels.
