CVS Veterinary Group seeks a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join Springfield Vets at Rotherham Hospital on a permanent weekend contract. The role covers routine appointments with interest in ECC but without night shifts.
Average 5 hours a week, alternating Saturdays, with flexibility on other shift patterns. The hospital is a friendly, 24-hour facility with strong mentorship and development opportunities across Yorkshire.

We are a friendly, forward-thinking 24-hour hospital, staffed overnight by our own dedicated out-of-hours team to ensure continuity of care. Our RCVS-accredited hospital is rated “Outstanding” and was the second practice in the UK to achieve all six “Outstanding” awards after their introduction.
Our facilities were significantly enhanced in May 2022, including the addition of a CT scanner, allowing us to offer a high level of diagnostic capability in-house.
Our team comprises 15 vets and 22 nurses, including Advanced Practitioners in cardiology, ECC, surgery, and medicine, who work alongside a strong group of experienced GPs. On a weekend, the hospital is staffed by 2 other vets, 4 RVNs, receptionists a senior, experienced vet who oversees inpatients and can handle complex cases and surgeries - this would be a great development opportunity for anyone with 1+ years experience who is interested in ECC. We foster a highly collaborative environment, with regular case discussions, skill sharing, and supportive teamwork across all levels.
