Job summary

Birds Bakery is hiring a part-time Bakery Sales Assistant to greet and serve customers, upsell items, and keep the shop clean and welcoming. You will take orders, operate the till, and help restock displays while providing excellent customer service.

Role requires flexible Saturdays 7am-11am with potential weekday shifts. Training provided; prior food retail experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food retail is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and resilience in a busy environment.
• Experience handling cash or tills/card machines (training provided).
• Flexibility to work shifts between Monday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Purpose

The purpose of a bakery sales assistant is to servecustomers, sell bakery products and help keep the shop clean and organised, aswell as a friendly and welcoming environment. Making sure customer service andquality is at the forefront of everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Greetand serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Recommendbakery items such as bread, cakes, and pastries.
• Takecustomer orders and package products properly.
• Operatethe till/cash register and handle payments.
• Restockshelves and displays to keep products available and attractive.
• Maintaincleanliness and hygiene in the shop and display areas.

Shifts

You will be contracted to work Saturdays from 7am-11am but if you have flexibility to be able to work during the week, that would be fantastic and please let us know in your cover letter!

Experience

Pay Rates:

• Age 19+: £12.71 per hour
• Age 18: £10.85 per hour
• Age 17: £8.50 per hour
