Job summary

UKCIL Ltd in Consett is seeking a Care Assistant to support a 41-year-old autistic man in the Castleside area. The role is 5–6 hours on Saturdays, from 10:30 to 16:30, at £13.50 per hour, to help him access the community and social activities.

Experience with autism is desirable; training will be provided. A DBS is required and paid for by the employer. The successful PA must be a driver with a clean licence and access to a car.

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of Autism is desirable, but training will be provided.
• A valid DBS will be required and paid for by the employer.
• Driver with a clean licence and access to a car is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the autistic man to access the community and social activities (library, shopping outlets, social club).
• Assist with accompanying to activities and ensuring safety during outings.
