Airbus Defence and Space in Stevenage is seeking a Satellite Technician (Electrical/Mechanical) to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, integrate, and test satellite systems using advanced techniques, ensuring high quality before launch, and support off-site testing as needed.

Hybrid working is available within our policy. The role suits hands-on engineers with experience in electrical/mechanical assembly, testing, and working from technical drawings, with opportunities for career

Qualificações

• Experience of electrical and mechanical assembly, integration and testing in a high‑reliability environment.
• Practical production techniques including soldering, crimping, harness routing, bonding, torqueing, drilling and shimming.
• Ability to read technical documentation, engineering drawings and job cards for inspections.
• Willingness to travel for off‑site testing and launch site support; comfortable with heights.

Responsabilidades

• Perform electrical assembly, integration and modification of systems, including harness routing, connections, soldering and crimping.
• Execute mechanical assembly and integration tasks, bonding, torqueing, drilling, shimming and installation.
• Conduct basic electrical testing and install necessary test equipment.
• Perform first‑level quality inspections and identify improvement opportunities on the shop floor.
• Work from technical instructions and test procedures to deliver completed assemblies with documentation.
• Support off‑site testing and launch activities, ensuring readiness in various environments.
