Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a Programme Manager who will join the Onesat programme leadership team and be responsible for the Payload Major Module. Onesat is a world-leading, software-defined satellite initiative that can be reconfigured in orbit, demanding strong leadership and technical direction.

You will lead an embedded team, manage schedule, cost breakdown structures, and risk, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex space/DEFENCE programmes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with budgets, schedules and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of your programme embedded team (:10 direct reports), when to encourage your experts to take the lead and when they need direction
• Enable the programme’s success in line with overall commitments including specification, financial coverage, Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Risk & Opportunity management and schedule management
• Ensure overall external customers’ satisfaction is met and they continue to have full transparency on the programme progress
• Constantly focus on operational OTOQOC
