Job summary

Airbus is offering an undergraduate placement in Portsmouth to work on telecom satellite payload architectures and performance analysis. You will learn from industry experts and contribute to modelling, simulations and test activities across RF and digital equipment.

The role requires you to be an undergrad for the full duration of the placement, with interest in space and strong analytical and programming skills. Portsmouth-based with potential hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student for the full duration of the placement.
• Pursuing a degree in Telecommunications Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g. Matlab, Python).
• Familiarity with modelling tools (Simulink/SystemVue/ADS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing payload architecture through performance evaluation.
• Conduct payload analyses and support tool definition for payload models.
• Contribute to laboratory test bench activities and payload integration validation.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and France.
