Job summary

comat is seeking a skilled Satellite AIT technician to join our Assembly, Integration and Testing team in the UK. You will perform operations in ISO7/ISO8 cleanrooms and read assembly procedures to integrate mechanical and RF harnesses with satellite structures.

The role requires 2+ years of satellite AIT experience, strong precision assembly skills, and English at B2 level. You will document each step and report anomalies to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• 2+ years of Satellite AIT experience.
• Experience assembling and integrating equipment and satellite structures.
• Proficiency in precision mechanical assembly: fitting, torque tightening, bonding.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong sense of rigor, organization, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations in ISO7 or ISO8 cleanrooms.
• Read and follow assembly procedures.
• Mechanically integrate equipment, mechanisms, satellite structures and harnesses.
• Carry out bolted and bonded assemblies.
• Use tools such as torque wrenches and test benches.
• Prepare tests: organize materials and tools for mechanical, thermal, optical, and RF tests.
• Inspect components prior to integration and document each step.
• Identify and report anomalies encountered during AIT.
