Job summary

COMAT is seeking a Satellite AIT Technician to support engineers in cleanroom environments (ISO7/ISO8). You will assist with mechanical integration of satellite structures, harnesses, and components, ensuring precise assembly and documentation.

The role requires reading drawings, working with torque tools, and reporting anomalies, with 2+ years in Satellite AIT and English at B2 level. Portsmouth-based position with strict quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read mechanical drawings and bills of materials.
• Experience assembling and integrating equipment, mechanisms, and satellite structures.
• Proficient in precision mechanical assembly: fitting, torque tightening, bonding.
• Able to integrate electrical and RF harnesses.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong sense of rigor, organization, and teamwork.
• At least 2 years of experience in Satellite AIT.
• Upper-intermediate level in English (B2 level).

Responsibilities

• Perform operations in ISO7 or ISO8 cleanrooms.
• Reading and following assembly procedures.
• Mechanical integration: assembling satellite structures and components.
• Bolted and bonded assemblies.
• Using torque wrenches, test benches, lifting equipment.
• Test preparation and ensuring materials/equipment are ready for tests.
• Equipment verification prior to integration.
• Documentation and reporting of each integration step.
• Identify and report anomalies encountered during AIT.
