Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to work with universities, small companies and space agencies on SAR-focused microwave instrumentation.

You will lead proposals, analyse and develop microwave instrument systems, and ensure the design aligns with customer requirements throughout the lifecycle. The role is permanent, full-time with hybrid working and clear progression paths to PM/Engineering Manager.

Competenze

• Technical expertise in microwave Instrumentation and systems.
• Ability to lead technical proposals and studies.
• Experience with design reviews and lifecycle alignment.

Mansioni

• Lead microwave instrument proposals and studies up to 14 months with focus on SAR.
• Analyse, design and develop microwave instrument systems.
• Monitor study progression and resolve technical issues; manage change across teams and customers.
• Ensure lifecycle delivers align with customer requirements including schedules and trade-offs.
• Coordinate peer reviews and support technical negotiations with customers.
