Job summary

CBS Butler is seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect to lead a large-scale transformation in Telford. The role is hybrid with 2 days on site, focusing on architectural oversight across SAP environments and delivering robust technical solutions.

You will work with Functional Consultants, Project Managers and vendors to translate requirements into scalable designs, govern architectures, and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as SAP Technical Architect or SAP Solution Architect.
• Strong experience with high-volume SAP environments and complex architectures.
• Experience delivering large-scale Solution Architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Developing and overseeing technical architecture for complex SAP solutions.
• Translating business and functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Providing architectural governance and assurance across high-complexity SAP implementations.
• Working with project and delivery teams to define technical scope and delivery approaches.
• Supporting SAP system sizing and landscape design.
• Assessing technical and infrastructure projects for feasibility and delivery impact.
• Defining and managing Non-Functional Requirements and their technical implications.
• Ensuring technical solutions adhere to architecture standards, policies and best practice.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Architect to join a large-scale and complex transformation programme, providing technical leadership and architectural oversight across a major SAP environment.

This is a senior, customer-facing role where you will work closely with Functional Consultants, Project Managers, technical teams and third-party suppliers to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.

You will take ownership of architectural solutions throughout the delivery life cycle, ensuring technical implementations remain aligned with the agreed architecture, functional requirements, non-functional requirements and wider enterprise strategy.
