Job summary

eTeam is seeking a SAP Technical Architect for a 6-month contract based in Worthing or Telford, with 2 days onsite. This role sits in the SAP Architecture team to design and govern high‑complexity SAP solutions and translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

The position requires hands-on experience with SAP CRM, UI5/Fiori, SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java, SAP PI/Process Integration, ERP, Enterprise Portal, and Mass Processing, alongside strong leadership and executive‑level

Qualifications

• Must have SAP architecture experience with large-scale SAP implementations.
• Experience with SAP CRM, UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and NetWeaver ABAP/Java.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work within the SAP Architecture team to understand client requirements and develop solutions that meet them.
• Oversee architectural solutions in projects or large delivery programs.
• Ensure the technical solution aligns with architecture strategy and is delivered as defined.
• Collaborate with Functional Consultants and Project Managers to scope work.
• Cascade business processes and requirements to team members.
• Own technical scope and ensure alignment with design and non-functional requirements.
• Review feasibility of technical and infrastructure projects; maintain consistent approaches.

Salary: £56,000 - 96,000 per year

Requirements:

• Knowledge of high-volume SAP solutions and technical architecture, including ERP, Portal, and PI.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate technical language to business language and vice versa.
• Large-scale solution architecture experience.
• SAP system sizing and landscape design experience.
• High-level and low-level understanding of non-functional requirements and how to mitigate their impact on solutions.
• High-level understanding of functional requirements and solutions, and how they affect the technical solution.
• Ability to govern and assure the technical delivery of high-complexity SAP implementations.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and facilitation skills.
• Clear thinking and innovation, with the ability to think strategically at an enterprise level.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the SAP Architecture team to understand and elaborate client requirements and develop solutions that meet them.
• Oversee architectural solutions developed in individual projects or large delivery projects.
• Ensure the technical solution is delivered as originally defined and aligns with the overall architecture strategy.
• Work closely with Functional Consultants and Project Managers early in the project to scope work for our area.
• Understand the overall business process and functional requirements and cascade this to stream or joint team members.
• Manage the agreed technical scope during the project and ensure alignment with the functional scope and design.
• Take ownership of architectural solutions and non-functional requirements, ensuring adherence to processes, policy, best practices, and consistency with the client vision.
• Review and scope technical and infrastructure projects for feasibility of delivery.
• Ensure a consistent approach to technical and templated functional solutions.
• Help refine the Enterprise Architecture.
• Manage technical relationships with vendors and material sub-contractors.
