Job summary

TXP Talent Limited seeks an experienced SAP Technical Architect for a hands-on role within a specialist SAP Integration Enablement team. You will apply automation, AI, modern tooling, and improved delivery practices across integration design, build, testing, and deployment. The role is a six-month contract, remote with ad hoc travel, inside IR35, at £600–£625 per day.

You will work alongside SAP delivery teams to transform SAP integrations and deliver measurable improvements in speed and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Senior Technical Engineer in SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, APIs, middleware, and ABAP development.
• Experience designing automation, tooling, or CI/CD solutions.
• Knowledge of modern integration architectures and API-led delivery approaches.
• Experience driving technical improvements via pilots, PoCs, or innovation initiatives.
• Ability to assess challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver practical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Data-driven approach with measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across SAP integration projects and initiatives.
• Design, prototype, and implement automation solutions that improve integration delivery.
• Identify opportunities to streamline SAP development, integration, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with SAP delivery teams to ensure practical, scalable solutions delivering measurable value.
• Lead technical PoCs and rapid innovation initiatives to evaluate new tools and ways of working.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development, automation, and modern engineering practices.
• Define and measure performance metrics to demonstrate improvements in delivery speed, quality, and efficiency.
• Produce technical recommendations, demonstrations, and business cases for wider adoption of successful solutions.
• Support the creation of standards, tooling, and best practices for SAP integration delivery.
• Accelerate API specification generation, validation, and governance through SAP API and OpenAPI enablement.
• Use AI tooling to simplify SAP documentation.
• Improve SAP PI/PO, middleware, and ABAP development via automation and reusable tooling.
• Introduce contract-based and API testing approaches to improve quality and reduce manual effort.
• Evaluate and implement AI tools that enhance productivity while maintaining governance and quality standards
