Job summary

Experis in Crewe is seeking a senior SAP HCM Payroll consultant for a 6-month engagement, likely hybrid with some remote options. You will lead discovery, define target SAP Payroll solution, and ensure HMRC RTI compliance, including Payrolling of Benefits transition.

The role requires extensive SAP HCM Payroll experience, strong UK Payroll knowledge, and familiarity with HMRC timelines. Daily umbrella pay rate up to £644. BPSS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery of the current SAP Payroll landscape.

• Define the target SAP Payroll solution and supporting processes.
• Perform a detailed gap analysis against HMRC Payrolling of Benefits.
• Support development, configuration and testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC RTI requirements and timelines.
• Support delivery of a production-ready solution for HMRC deadlines.
• Transfer knowledge to payroll and application support teams.
• Assess existing SAP Payroll processes, interfaces and benefits administration.
• Implement required SAP Payroll enhancements.
• Ensure payroll calculations and HMRC submissions align with new legislation from April 2027.

We are seeking a senior SAP HCM Payroll consultant for a 6-month engagement, ideally hybrid in Crewe with remote working potentially available. This role is focused on supporting our transition from the current P11D-based reporting model to a real-time payroll-based process for taxable benefits in line with HMRCs mandatory Payrolling of Benefits legislation effective from April 2027. The pay rate is up to £644 per day umbrella only, and BPSS clearance is required.
