Job summary

GEA is seeking an experienced MRP & Inventory Planner to drive SAP MRP and inventory management across demand, supply, and production. You will ensure master data accuracy and optimise planning parameters to avoid shortages and waste.

You’ll partner with procurement and production to meet deadlines and service levels while leveraging SAP reporting tools to provide actionable insights for stakeholders. A proactive, data-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MRP and inventory planning in manufacturing.
• Advanced SAP skills — hands-on experience with SAP MM and PP modules is essential.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MRP transactions (MD01, MD02, MD04) and purchase order tracking.
• Solid knowledge of Master Data Management — material master, vendor master, BOMs, and routing data.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret SAP data and make informed decisions.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to work across procurement, production, and supply chain teams.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the SAP MRP process — from master data accuracy to running MRP simulations and planning runs.
• Ensure all material master records, BOMs, and work centre data are accurate and up to date in SAP.
• Analyze SAP-generated demand and supply proposals, adjusting plans to production schedules and lead times.
• Monitor inventory levels in SAP daily, identifying risks of shortages or overstock and taking proactive action.
• Collaborate with procurement to convert planned orders into purchase orders and track confirmations in SAP.
• Work closely with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
• Use SAP reporting tools (MD04, MB52, ME2N) to generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Optimise SAP parameters (lot sizes, safety stock, reorder points) to improve planning accuracy and reduce waste.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including data governance and master data quality projects.
