Senior Support Engineer, SAP MDM Consultant

The role of the Senior Support Engineer, SAP MDM consultant requires functional experience, integration knowledge, infrastructure and networking expertise, and skills to diagnose serious issues. The candidate will develop, test, package, and deliver fixes for complex, integrated, and highly-configured environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of SAP applications functionality and technology.
  2. Work closely with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change, and deliver high-quality customer service.
  3. Provide remote-based functional support and training for specific SAP modules.
  4. Support client customizations, sharing implementation and best practices advice.
  5. Develop application fixes for critical product defects.
  6. Create scripts to identify, analyze, and correct data issues.
  7. Manage key accounts as a technical/functional adviser.
  8. Assist hands-on using proprietary tools in test environments or via remote client connectivity.
  9. Contribute proactively to a 24x7x365 support organization, requiring flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Collaborate with team members in a virtual environment to extend field experience to various client situations.
  11. Contribute to knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and processes to improve client experience.
Skills
  • Superb troubleshooting skills and tenacity in problem-solving.
  • Strong focus on customer support and building long-term relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP application functionality, tables, and relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP customization and extension methodologies.
  • Excellent development skills using SAP tools.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in SAP MDM configuration, installation, and administration.
  • 5+ years of direct support of application end-users in a corporate environment.
