Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is hiring a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our lively Sams Clubhouse team. You’ll work as a waiter or bartender, welcome guests warmly, and help craft a memorable dining experience. Expect late-night shifts and the chance to upsell our menu offerings with enthusiasm.

Training is provided if you have no prior hospitality background, and you’ll join a team dedicated to guest satisfaction and career development within a renowned resort environment.

Overlooking our stunning PGA golf course, Sam’s Bar & Kitchen is a sports bar and restaurant that is lively, fast-paced, and full of energy. Joining the team means thriving in a vibrant environment where service is friendly and always engaging. You’ll be part of creating moments guests remember, whether it’s cheering over a big game, sharing a board of food, or making someone’s visit truly special.

The base annual rate for this role is £12.71 per hour, plus service charge.

About the role

This role will require late nights in the week and weekend working.

• As a food and beverage assistant, your duties include all those of a waiter or bartender
• To welcome all guests a polite and friendly manner
• To deliver a great experience from beginning to end
• To confidently talk about our menus, offer upsells and enthusiastically
• To take orders from our guests and proactively ensure that all their needs are met
• Cleaning and good hygiene practices are a large part of this role
• To work across any of the outlets that are in need of assistance to ensure the smooth running of the resort as a whole.

About you

Previous experience in a busy bar or restaurant would be preferred, but you don’t need experience to start your career with us at The Belfry Hotel and Resort. We have a great team that will train you give you all of the skills you need to be successful. If you do have previous experience that’s great, we will take your skills and elevate them in a department where you feel you would be the best fit.
