Job summary

Kingston College is seeking a qualified professional to oversee a hair, beauty or barbering salon in a college setting. You will supervise staff, manage stock, and ensure Health & Safety and COSHH standards while supporting student assessments and income targets.

The role emphasizes maintaining an industry-standard environment that blends commercial activity with high-quality learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Hair, Beauty or Barbering; experience in a commercial salon.
• Further Education experience is desirable.
• Experience supervising staff with strong stock control, salon operations, Health & Safety and COSHH knowledge.
• IT systems proficiency; Assessor and IQA qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of VTCT and/or City & Guilds qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Achieve income targets while delivering an excellent client experience and supporting student assessments.
• Ensure compliance with College policies and awarding body requirements.
• Maintain a professional environment that supports income generation and outstanding student learning.
