Job summary

Kingston College is seeking a Hair, Beauty and Barbering Technician to manage the college's commercial salon day-to-day. You will drive income, ensure a high standard of client service, and support student assessments while upholding college policies and awarding body requirements.

The role requires a Level3 qualification in Hair/Beauty/Barbering with salon experience; FE experience is desirable. Knowledge of stock control, COSHH, Health & Safety is essential, with Assessor/IQA qualifications a

Qualifications

• For this FE role, a Level3 qualification in Hair/Beauty/Barbering is required.
• Experience supervising staff in a commercial salon is essential.
• Experience in Further Education is desirable.
• Knowledge of stock control, salon operations and COSHH is important.
• Assessor and IQA qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the college commercial salon.
• Achieve income targets and deliver an excellent client experience.
• Support student assessments and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain industry-standard practices and health and safety compliance.
