Job summary

Kirklees Council in Dewsbury is seeking a Hair and Beauty Technician to support the college salons, based at Pioneer Higher Skills Centre. The role focuses on assisting senior staff and teachers with salon operations and maintaining professional standards across salon and classroom spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a Hair or Beauty qualification (or equivalent) and proven experience in running a busy salon, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting

Qualifications

• Ideally, you’ll have a Hair or Beauty qualification (or equivalent) and demonstrable experience in a busy salon.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both young people and adults.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Department, Programme Lead and Teachers with running the college salons.
• Ensure salon and classroom environments are fully equipped, prepared and maintained to a professional standard.
• Place orders and maintain product inventories.
