Job summary

Source Group International is seeking a Salesforce Engineer to contribute to the design and hands-on development of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions for global clients. You will build integrations, apply DevOps practices, and participate in POC work to de-risk delivery.

The role is based in London with collaboration across global teams. The ideal candidate holds Platform Developer I, Admin certs, and relevant architecture certifications, with strong Apex, LWC, Flows, and REST/SOAP

Qualifications

  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, Flows.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I required; II preferred.
  • Admin certification expected; integration/architecture certifications desirable.
  • Proven REST/SOAP integration experience via middleware.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governor limits, best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of high-quality code.
  • Experience across different capabilities and teams; breadth valued.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and modern engineering disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication; able to explain tech to non-tech.

  • Contribute to technical design and hands-on development of scalable Salesforce solutions for public and private businesses.
  • Apply engineering standards, code quality practices, and governance for maintainable, performant solutions.
  • Build integrations connecting Salesforce with upstream and downstream platforms for joined-up client journeys.
  • Apply DevOps practices—CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
  • Contribute to proof-of-value and proof-of-concept builds to test ideas and de-risk delivery.
  • Explore emerging AI capabilities—including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce—to enhance productivity.
  • Take part in code reviews and knowledge-sharing to support the team's capability.

Job description

Salary: £68,000 - 108,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Solid, demonstrable hands-on Salesforce development experience, including strong Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I is required; Platform Developer II is strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator is expected, and integration or architecture-track certifications (e.g. Integration Architect, Application Architect, MuleSoft) are desirable.
  • Proven integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs or middleware such as MuleSoft to connect Salesforce with other systems.
  • Strong experience of DevOps and CI/CD tooling (e.g. Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps), automated testing, and release management on the Salesforce platform.
  • A good understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governor limits, and platform best practices.
  • Good eye for detail and a strong track record of producing high-quality technical solutions and well-tested code.
  • Engineering experience across different capabilities, systems or teams; a breadth of positive experiences is valued alongside depth.
  • A good understanding of the end-to-end SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid etc.) and modern engineering disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to work with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones etc.
