Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Salesforce QA Lead to oversee testing across multi-functional Salesforce initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will design test strategies, lead test execution, and ensure end-to-end quality for deployments while aligning with business goals.

You will collaborate with developers, business users, and stakeholders, create comprehensive test documentation, and mentor junior testers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of Salesforce testing experience.
• Salesforce Certified Advanced QA Lead preferred.
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder preferred.
• Scrum/Agile software development experience.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate projects to determine the best test approach/methodology.
• Experience implementing or working within newly implemented Salesforce Orgs preferred.
• Strong understanding of building scalable, reliable Salesforce solutions.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Demonstrated test leadership on at least one large Salesforce Org.
• Understanding of UI design principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication for technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce testing activities across projects.

Job description

• Engage directly with global, multi-functional teams to provide technical testing for strategic development and enhancement of Salesforce CRM applications
• Engage with technical and end-user teams
• Assess and advance complementary Salesforce release and test automation technologies
• Align testing activities with Salesforce Operations development objectives
• Act as the business-facing Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack during development test cycles
• Create end-user documentation of test plans and procedures
• Evaluate business requirements in relation to testing approach
• Support stakeholders during UAT and development/testing lifecycle phases
• Execute required test plans
• Ensure a functionally sound and stable Salesforce deployment
• Work with user groups and technical development teams, accountable for development-related testing and end-user engagement
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and free of defects
• Collaborate with development and business teams to assess requirement feasibility
• Provide system and business process expertise when scoping test plans
• Review solution summaries for best-practice adherence and fit-for-purpose, user-focused development
• Determine and apply testing methodologies across projects
• Develop documentation including test plans, test strategies, test cases, and testing matrices
• Apply advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts
• Contribute to new technical principles and concepts
• Test new integrations and troubleshoot existing integrations
• Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of previous testing experience with Salesforce
• Salesforce Certified Advanced QA Lead certification preferred
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification preferred
• Scrum / Agile software development methodology experience
• Ability to analyse and evaluate projects to determine the best test approach/methodology
• Experience implementing or working within newly implemented Salesforce Orgs preferred
• Strong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on the Salesforce Platform
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues
• Demonstrated test lead success with at least one large Salesforce Org
• Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
• Communication skills for both a technical and business audience
• Ability to deal with and balance multiple priorities
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change
