Job summary

Oxford Instruments Andor in Belfast is offering a 12-month Sales Support placement within our Sales Operations team. You will work with the Head of Commercial and colleagues to support inventory management, logistics, reporting, and process improvement while gaining exposure to multiple business functions.

Ideal candidates are final-year students studying Supply Chain Management or related field, aiming for a 2:1, with strong Excel skills, excellent organisation, and a proactive, analytical

Qualifications

  • Currently studying towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree classification.
  • Previous placement, part-time work or project experience in logistics, stock control, operations, customer service or administration.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with data and documentation.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy collaborating with others.
  • Proactive, analytical, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of global demonstration equipment inventory.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and tracking information.
  • Assist with stock audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate the shipment, movement, and return of demonstration equipment.
  • Support equipment allocation activities across global sales teams.
  • Assist with packing and preparing equipment for shipment.
  • Monitor overdue equipment returns and follow up as required.
  • Maintain stockroom organisation and housekeeping standards.
  • Support approval and sign-off processes for demonstration equipment.
  • Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Technical Support teams.
  • Prepare reports and analyse inventory utilisation data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for students who are:
