County Waste (Waste Connections) is currently seeking outgoing and experienced Territory Sales Representatives!

We believe in rewarding hard work and ambition, offering a base salary of $55,000 with UNCAPPED commissions!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Construction / Disposal Sales Representative at Waste Connections will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry by selling temporary waste removal services. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships, managing a customer portfolio, and driving revenue growth to meet or exceed targets. The role involves engaging with potential and existing customers within the assigned region to present services, follow up with decision-makers, and close sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients to ensure high retention and loyalty.
  • Focus on selling roll-off waste removal services.
  • Manage existing accounts and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify leads, manage sales prospects, and secure temporary waste removal contracts to meet sales targets.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to grow the customer base and follow up regularly with decision-makers to close deals.
  • Use Salesforce daily to track and document all sales activities.
  • Generate qualified leads for permanent waste removal services and pass them to the appropriate sales team members.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager weekly to evaluate progress and discuss customer retention efforts.
  • Work with the operations team to resolve customer service issues and ensure a seamless experience.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, networking events, and company-sponsored activities to enhance visibility.
  • Perform other tasks to support company goals.

Ideal candidate will possess:

2+ years of SALES experience

Solid Waste Industry experience is a plus (not required)

Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
