Job summary

Group 1 Automotive's Volkswagen New Southgate dealership is seeking a Sales Progressor who can deliver outstanding and trusted experiences for our customers. You will manage vehicle movement, ensure prep and paperwork, and guide workshop and valeters to meet standards.

This is a full‑time, on‑site role within our growing automotive group offering clear progression opportunities. Join a dynamic team at Volkswagen New Southgate and help us maintain top showroom standards while delivering

Responsibilities

• Control the movement and security of all retail vehicles on site.
• Maintain accurate records when releasing or receiving vehicles.
• Ensure cars are prepared to the correct standards for delivery.
• Accept delivery of all New and Used Vehicles and perform checks.
• Report any damage or paperwork discrepancies to management.
• Carry out appraisals of stock and arrange required work.
• Prioritise workload for Workshop Controller.
• Coordinate workload for Car Valeters.
• Maintain used car stock to Approved Used Car standards.
• Maintain showroom cars to required standards and log tyre pressures.

What you'll do day to day

• Control the movement and security of all retail vehicles on site
• Maintain accurate and true records at all times when releasing or receiving vehicles
• Ensure cars are fully prepared to the correct standards and customer requirements for delivery
• Accept delivery of all New and Used Vehicles, carry out necessary checks (damage, paperwork etc.)
• Report any damage or paperwork discrepancies immediately to management
• Conduct accurate and timely appraisals of all retail vehicles taken into stock and the arrangement of required work
• Give direction and prioritise work for Workshop Controller
• Give direction and prioritise workload for Car Valeters
• Carry out regular checks on all used car stock to maintain Approved Used Car standards.
• Maintain all Used Cars on display to required standards, this includes a weekly log to be maintained for tyre pressures
• Maintain the photographic ratio of all cars advertised to be above 90%
• All approved Used cars to be prepared within 5 working days
• Maintain demonstrators to the highest standards
• Maintain all showroom cars to the required standards, including, including maintaining a battery check log
• Make sure all auction cars are available for collection with the required paperwork
