Sales and Marketing Manager - UK Textiles Manufacturer (B2B)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales and Marketing Manager who will play a crucial role in supporting and driving sales growth across the UK, with a strong focus on customer engagement and business development. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and assisting with the development and delivery of marketing campaigns. The role is predominantly sales-focused (approximately 80%), with marketing responsibilities (approximately 20%) that support lead generation and brand visibility. Your success will directly impact the company’s trajectory, making this a highly rewarding role for someone passionate about driving results and achieving ambitious targets.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering sales growth, ideally within textiles or a related industrial sector, and will be ready to share actionable insights and strategies behind their success. This role is based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, and candidates should live within a commutable distance of the headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business by identifying prospects and converting inbound and outbound leads into customers.
  • Manage and grow customer accounts by building strong, long-term relationships and delivering excellent service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell within existing accounts, increasing customer value and retention.
  • Prepare and present quotations, follow up proactively, and close sales.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including pipeline and activity reporting.
  • Work closely across company departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business objectives.
  • Leverage sales data, market insights, and customer feedback to inform decision-making, refine sales strategies, and support continuous improvement across products and customer service.
  • Attend client meetings, trade shows and industry events to represent the company and build relationships.

Marketing (20%)

  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, product launches, and both online and offline promotions.
  • Work with the internal team and external agencies to manage content for social media and the company website
  • Support with the development of sales and marketing materials (brochures, presentations, case studies).
  • Help track and analyse marketing performance and customer engagement metrics.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a B2B sales or sales and marketing role, ideally in manufacturing or industrial products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and target-driven.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
  • Confident using IT and digital tools such as email marketing platforms and LinkedIn.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites in the UK.
  • Employment Type:Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary:£37,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus performance related bonus earning opportunity
