Experienced Chemicals Sales Manager looking to further developtheir career required for a growing, well-established chemicaldistributor in Cheshire.

Location: Hybrid, 1 day a week inCheshire office

Term: Permanent

SRG ispartnering with a leading chemical supplier and distributor inCheshire, who offer a wide range of innovative raw materials tomanufacturers and brands in the UK industrial chemicals market(encompassing HI&I, lubricants and water treatment amongst others).With world-class R&D and manufacturing facilities in Europe andglobally, they have a well-known reputation for success in the market.Adopting a value-based sales approach, you will travel extensivelyacross the UK, regularly meeting customers to continually build,develop and grow customer relationships across industrial chemicalmanufacturers.

With several existing buyingaccounts, the role will be approximately 50/50 businessdevelopment-account management.

Role /Description

  • Identifying, contacting anddeveloping new business using a variety of methods
  • Promotingthe company’s range of innovative raw materials
  • Growingmarket presence across the UK industrial chemicals market
  • Growing existing customer relationships to ensure customersatisfaction and ultimately look to increase account spend
  • Travelling approximately 1/3 of your time across the UK tovisit customer sites
  • Generating leads to identify newpotential UK industrial chemical customers
  • Maintaining andupdating the database to build a global customer pool
  • Keepingabreast of product development & trends in the chemicals industry.

Requirements

  • Direct experience in consultative and technical sales ofchemical raw materials to either HI&I, lubricants, water treatment orother related sectors
  • Degree-level qualified (or equivalent)in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Experience withdelivering technical presentations on chemical raw materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing, and excited, to travel 1/3 of your time across thewhole of the UK
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Aproactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional customer service.
