Job Description:

Innovate UK Business Connect is seeking a results-driven individual with a technical background in industrial decarbonisation for a full-time, permanent role within our Clean Energy and Built Environment team.

Our team is leading the UK's efforts towards Net Zero, partnering with businesses and innovators across energy and built environment sectors to develop and deploy technologies supporting this goal. Technical areas include energy systems, renewable energy, nuclear, energy storage, industrial decarbonisation, sustainable construction, and infrastructure.

The role involves delivering programs that help UK manufacturing sectors decarbonise, engaging with stakeholders, and fostering innovation. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in industrial decarbonisation, strong communication skills, and existing industry contacts.

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and government departments.
  • Engaging with the community of UK innovators in decarbonisation technologies.
  • Identifying technology opportunities to support decarbonisation in industry.
  • Facilitating connections, collaborations, and funding opportunities for companies.
  • Organising sector-specific events and activities.
  • Creating content to raise awareness and knowledge.
  • Tracking progress and capturing outcomes.
  • Supporting cross-sector collaboration and seeking new opportunities.
  • Performing administrative duties including reporting and KPI tracking.

Experience & Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent in industrial decarbonisation or related field.
