The Role

We’re looking for a driven, hands-on Sales Manager to lead and scale our D2C sales team (our “Estate Planning Associates”). This role isn’t just about hitting ambitious growth targets - it’s about doing it the right way, staying true to our goal of outbehaviour and our core values of Optimism, Hard Work, and Customer First. We’re building something special, and we need someone who sees challenges as opportunities, rolls up their sleeves, and makes things happen.

As Sales Manager, you’ll be in the trenches with the team every day - tracking sales metrics, hiring and training top talent, and leading from the front. You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and do the job yourself because you know the best way to coach is by example. This team is set to grow beyond 30 in the next 24 months, and you’ll be the driving force behind their success.

You don’t need experience managing a big team - what matters most is your energy, ambition, and relentless drive to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Know the customer inside out - Understand the industry, customer pain points, and the financial and legal aspects that impact them. Be able to guide customers with confidence and clarity.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team - Recruit, train, and coach Estate Planners to be the best in the game. Lead by example - set the pace, jump on calls, and show them how it's done.
  • Drive sales and growth - Set clear, ambitious targets and create a scrappy, high-energy team culture that thrives on exceeding them.
  • Optimise and refine the sales process - Find ways to make things faster, better, and more customer-focused. Constantly look for opportunities to improve efficiency and results.
  • Put the customer first, always - Ensure every interaction is top-notch, fostering trust and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Use data to stay ahead - Track key sales metrics, analyse performance, and share insights with the leadership team to drive smart decisions.
  • Collaborate across teams - Work closely with marketing, product, and customer support to ensure everything aligns and drives sales success.
  • Embrace technology - We just finished building V1 of our in house AI model, be the person that drives development and growth to supercharge your team.

You’re eager to build and grow your own team in a fast-paced, high-growth startup. With a growth mindset, you thrive in an autonomous environment where you take ownership, solve problems, and drive results independently.

  • Proven track record of driving success - whether or not you’ve officially led a team. If you’re ready to step into a management role and bring your energy and drive to the next level, this could be the perfect opportunity. Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus!
  • Track record of driving sales growth and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Hands-on management style - you lead from the front, inspire your team, and aren’t afraid to pick up the phone and do the job yourself.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can plan, execute, and adapt quickly to challenges.
  • Strong sales analytics and CRM skills, with the ability to track performance and optimize processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - you naturally build trust with both your team and customers.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities while staying focused on results.
