Our client is a world-renowned audiobook publisher, who has been operating for over 25 years! They are a leader in digital media and are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for maintaining and attracting clients, and dealing with public libraries, universities, and schools to ensure sales targets are achieved across your territories. Although the position is home-based, face-to-face meetings are encouraged to foster strong relationships, so travel will be required.

Account Management

Your role will include forging and maintaining strong, positive, and long-lasting client relationships. You will provide high-level sales support and ongoing account management services to institutional customers throughout the UK. Responsibilities include selling our digital solutions and physical audio content.

New Business Development

You will identify business opportunities, drive new sales, and pursue additional revenue streams.

Everything Else

This includes updating databases, creating information packs and presentations, and providing customer feedback. You should understand your customers’ businesses and how to add value to them.

About You
You Will
  • Have at least 5 years of commercial, client-facing sales experience, ideally within publishing or audio.
  • Have a proven record of achieving significant sales targets.
  • Be a confident, professional communicator who builds lasting relationships.
  • Possess excellent presentation, public speaking, and customer management skills with attention to detail.
  • Be capable of multitasking and working effectively in a fast-paced, non-traditional schedule.
  • Be highly motivated, sales-driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Be tech-savvy, comfortable with digital devices, and inspired by digital trends.
  • Have strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess good Excel skills (intermediate to advanced).
  • Have strong closing and consultative selling skills.
  • Have extensive experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a car.
  • Be willing to travel interstate and stay overnight as needed.

You should be motivated, positive, and a natural salesperson. Passionate about books, audiobooks, and libraries, you should enjoy multitasking and adapting to market changes. Embracing digital technology and content opportunities is essential. You need to be well-organized, flexible, and proactive in all aspects of your role.
