Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Leicester
Shift: Days
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum



The Company

A well-established manufacturer with over 70 years of experience, specialising in parts and components for the engineering sector. Known for delivering high-quality solutions, the company serves a variety of industrial sectors, including the yellow goods and agricultural industries.

Key features include:

  • ISO 9001:2015 certified

  • Advanced robotic welding and machining systems

  • State-of-the-art equipment including Trumpf & Bystronic Lasers, Trumpf Press Brakes, and robotic CNC machines

  • A 6,000 m production facility on a 2.5-hectare site

  • Annual steel processing in excess of 2,300 tons



The Role: Sales Manager

We are seeking a Sales Manager with a strong engineering background to drive growth beyond our traditional customer base, which includes high-profile clients such as CAT and JCB. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to play a key role in business development and market expansion.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business in targeted sectors outside the current customer base

  • Build strong client relationships and deliver tailored engineering solutions

  • Promote the company's capabilities in laser cutting, fabrication, welding, CNC machining, and robotic welding

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets



Target Sectors:

  • Agricultural Machinery

  • Quarrying & Mining Equipment

  • MOD / Defence

  • Heavy Machinery

  • Rail / Rolling Stock

  • Lifting Equipment (Cranes, Hoists)

  • Logging Machinery

  • Truck & Trailer Manufacturing

  • Government Contracts / Tenders



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar Sales or Business Development role within a relevant engineering/manufacturing environment

  • Proven track record in growing client bases and delivering sales targets

  • Strong technical knowledge of mild steel fabrication and associated processes

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Highly self-motivated and driven by results
