The role emphasizes system accuracy, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations, with real involvement in month-end processes and data analysis to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Assistant role.
• Confident use of Excel, including formulas, lookups and reporting functions.
• Experience using accounting software, ideally Sage.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• Ability to analyse data and produce accurate financial reports.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and reconciling the sales ledger.
• Posting journals, accruals and other accounting adjustments.
• Running and analysing reports to support business decision making.
• Producing regular sales ledger and debtor reporting.
• Assisting with month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing customer account queries and resolving discrepancies.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information.
• Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.
