Job summary

thefutureworks is recruiting a Sales Ledger / Credit Controller to join their finance team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This Office Based role is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking to progress, with hours 08:30 to 16:45, Monday to Friday.

You will maintain customer accounts, process receipts, invoices and credit notes, set credit limits, chase overdue payments, and support senior finance leaders. Previous experience in sales ledger and good Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Sales ledger or credit control experience.
• Understanding of VAT and financial accounting.
• Good Excel skills.
• Accurate and organised with attention to detail.
• Professional communicator with friendly approach.
• Reliable and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sales ledger and customer accounts.
• Process customer receipts, invoices and credit notes.
• Set and review customer credit limits.
• Send statements and chase overdue payments.
• Resolve customer invoice queries.
• Maintain the stop list and refer unpaid debts where necessary.
• Support the Financial Controller and Finance Director with ad-hoc duties.
