Job summary

Confidential in Basildon is seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to join the team on a permanent basis. The role reports to the Financial Controller and focuses on producing sales invoices and credit notes, handling customer portals, and supporting multiple currencies across entities.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience in sales or purchase ledger, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar finance role.
• Experience with Sage 50 software is essential and must have worked within Sales or Purchase Ledger.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• High attention to detail to ensure data is inputted accurately.

Responsibilities

• Produce sales invoices and credit notes.
• Deal with clients directly via portals and supporting documentation across multiple entities/currencies.
• Maintain sales order reports and manage credit control for allocated accounts.
• Communicate with retailers, factories and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with Directors and Sales Coordinators and resolve queries promptly.
