Job summary

RG Consultancy are working with an excellent company located near Bury, Greater Manchester who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant - someone with a strong sales ledger/credit control background. The role will report into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the sales ledger/accounts function.

Duties include raising and processing invoices, allocating receipts, credit control to reduce debtor days, resolving queries, maintaining customer records, and supporting month-end

Qualifications

• Strong sales ledger and credit control background required.
• Experience in processing high volumes of invoices and reconciliations is essential.
• Ability to communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve queries.

Responsibilities

• Raising and processing high volumes of sales invoices accurately and promptly.
• Allocating customer receipts and reconciling customer accounts.
• Proactive credit control to reduce debtor days and chase overdue payments.
• Maintain customer records and perform credit checks for new accounts.
