Job summary

Sheridan Lifts Limited in Manchester is seeking an energetic sales professional to join the New Lift sales department. You will drive revenue for commodity lift installation projects across the Northern region, managing new lifts, replacements, and machinery directive products.

Represent the company in meetings and industry events, develop strong relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, and ensure accurate proposals, pricing, and technical solutions are delivered

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales revenue targets within the Northern region.
  • Qualify and assess lift enquiries to identify viable sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of lift products and solutions.

  • Represent the company professionally in meetings and industry events.
  • Research existing and prospective clients to generate revenue.
  • Prepare timely responses to enquiries.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings and provide feedback.
  • Generate sales leads through external sources and existing client base.
  • Run activity and enquiry reports to assess opportunities.
  • Liaise with supply chain and clients for high service standards.

Working for one of the largest independent Lift businesses in the UK, providing a whole host of vertical transport solutions to construction and end users. The department focuses on Architects, Engineers, Construction Companies, and developers to provide solutions for their projects. The role will assume responsibility in the New Lift sales department for commodity lift installation Projects. This will involve a wide range of duties, including new lifts, new shafts, complete replacements, and machinery directive products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales revenue targets within the Northern region (targets to be confirmed).
  • Qualify and assess lift enquiries to identify viable sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the lift products and solutions offered by the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Maintain market awareness of upcoming and ongoing developments within the region to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure CRM systems are kept fully up to date, accurately recording all sales activity and opportunities.
  • Follow up all sales leads, meetings, and quotations within agreed timeframes to maximise conversion.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate proposals, pricing, and technical solutions are delivered to clients.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings, presentations, and industry events.

The Duties:

  • Research existing and prospective clients to identify new opportunities and generate sales revenue for the company.
  • Provide a professional and timely response to both incoming and outgoing enquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain regular sales and activity reports as required.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings, providing relevant feedback and updates to be recorded within the company CRM system.
  • Generating sales leads through external sources and the existing client base.
  • Run regular activity and enquiry reports to assess the quality and volume of opportunities.
  • Liaise with the supply chain and clients to ensure a high standard of service is delivered throughout the sales process.
  • Manage customer enquiries and support the development of new and existing accounts.
  • Ensure all sales trackers and internal reporting tools are updated monthly.
  • Review and analyse special projects, ensuring management is kept informed of progress and outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments, providing feedback.
