Job summary

Lords Builders Merchants in Aylesbury is seeking a Sales Executive who thrives on sales success and customer care. You will handle enquiries, prepare quotes, and help customers choose the right building materials for their needs, working within a supportive team.

With at least 2 years in construction materials sales, you will leverage product knowledge and proactive selling to grow local business while delivering excellent service and building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' sales experience within builders' merchants or the wider construction materials trade.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, customer-focused approach.
• Confidence using order systems, email and basic IT tools.
• A team player who takes pride in doing a great job.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and sales-driven Sales Executive to join the team at Lords Builders Merchants in Aylesbury.

You'll be at the heart of our branch's success—responding to enquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and helping customers get the products they need, when they need them. It's a role that combines relationship-building, product knowledge, and commercial awareness.

What you'll be doing

• Handling customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Preparing accurate and competitive quotes
• Building strong relationships with existing trade and retail customers while developing new business locally
• Promoting Lords' full range of products and services
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver great service every time
