Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of The Alexander Hotel Collection, seeks a Sales and Events Manager to lead a small sales team and drive both reactive and proactive sales for conferences, meetings, weddings, and banqueting. You will report to the General Manager and work from the hotel sales office.

The role requires a proven track record in hotel sales, strong organisational and communication skills, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• 5 days, 40hrs per week including weekend appointments if required.
• Previous sales and events experience within a quality hotel environment is essential.
• Proven ability to achieve sales budgets in an events environment.
• Smart appearance and friendly telephone manner.
• Strong organisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time and co-ordinate priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small sales team (3) to drive reactive and proactive selling for conferences, days meetings, weddings and banqueting.
• Based in the sales office at the hotel, report to the General Manager and support the Group Sales Director.
• Reactively and proactively sell the hotel in all aspects of conference and banqueting.
• Handle telephone, email and online enquiries for functions including weddings, conferences, and private dining.
• Conduct show-rounds and appointments at the hotel adhering to standards.
• Complete necessary administration to ensure event success from a customer service and financial perspective.
• Ensure produced function information is accurately communicated to operational managers.
• Achieve Mystery Guest standards and scores for sales actions.
