Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for Louvres and HVAC systems covering the Midlands. You will drive field sales of louvres, AHUs, HRUs, radiants, grilles and diffusers, engaging M&E consultants and architects to specify HVAC solutions and managing contractor relationships to sustain around £1m turnover.

The role suits someone with HVAC sales experience, CAD familiarity, and a strong technical background in building services.

Qualifications

• HVAC field sales experience with a proven track record.
• Experience winning specifications with M&E consultants and architects.
• Open to moving from a technical to commercial role; CAD experience may help.

Responsibilities

• Sell a manufactured range of louvres, AHUs, HRUs, radiants, grilles and diffusers; advise on system design.
• Engage M&E consultants and architects to design and specify HVAC solutions.
• Manage relationships with M&E contractors and maintain circa £1m turnover.
• Deliver CPD presentations and develop long-standing client relationships.

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Louvres and HVAC Systems

Industry Sector: External Louvres, AHU's, HRU's, Radiant Panels, Grilles & Diffusers, Natural Ventilation, Displacement Ventilation, VAV & CAV, Trench Heating Louvres, Continuous Louvres Screening, Barrier Louvres, Night Vent, Building Services, HVAC, FCUs, Acoustic Solutions, Ventilation, Floor Grilles, Specialist Fabrication, Architectural, M&E Consultants, Architects, M&E Contractors

Area to be covered: Midlands

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + £10,000 Bonus

The role of the Technical Sales Engineer – Louvres and HVAC Systems will involve:

• Field sales role selling predominantly selling a manufactured and distributed range of louvres, AHU's, HRU's radiant panels, grilles & diffusers, natural ventilation, displacement ventilation, VAV & CAV and trench heating
• Focus is on working with M&E consultants and architects to design and specify HVAC solutions, either by combining standard products into a system or adapting them for specialist applications
• Remainder of time managing relationships with M&E contractors
• Tasked with maintaining turnover of circa £1m
• Taking over some long established relationships with M&E consultants and contractors
• CPD presentations
• Order values typically £20,000 but can range from £10,000-£250,000

The ideal applicant will be a Technical Sales Engineer – Louvres and HVAC Systems with:

• Proven track record in HVAC field sales
• Ideally sold louvles or AHU's
• Will also consider other building services field sales backgrounds with experience winning specifications with M&E consultants and architects
• Open to a Technical Sales Engineer or a Building Services Engineer who wants to move into a more commercial role
• Some CAD experience may be useful
• Strong technical background, especially in building services or HVAC
• Knowledge of HVAC/ building services systems
• Specific knowledge of grilles, diffusers, VAV systems, FCUs, AHUs, acoustic solutions, natural ventilation, displacement systems and other bespoke solutions may be beneficial
• Open to most HVAC/ building services industry experience such as; ventilation, diffusion, floor grilles, louvres, pipework, insulation etc.
• Self-motivated, good communicator and IT literate
