Key Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer

• Support the Sales team by providing technical expertise during customer engagements
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and technical briefings
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• Act as the technical lead during pre-sales discussions and project reviews
• Respond to technical enquiries and assist with issue resolution
• Visit customer sites to investigate application or technical challenges and provide practical recommendations
• Support customer onboarding and product training
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless solution delivery

What We're Looking For from the new Sales Engineer

• Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, Applications Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar
• Strong technical or engineering background
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Commercial awareness with a genuine interest in supporting sales growth
• Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required

Desirable Experience

• Experience within fire safety systems, fire protection products, security technology, or related technical solutions
• Exposure to physical or cyber security environments
• Experience supporting international customers
• Additional language skills is a benefit
• Experience delivering CPD presentations
