Job summary

Solutions Driven in Somerset is seeking a Branch Manager for our builders merchant branch. You will own the P&L, drive sales, margin and profitability, and lead a local team.

This sales-led role focuses on winning trade accounts, building the branch’s name, and delivering excellent service to builders, contractors, and developers. A hands-on leader who thrives on front-line customer interaction will fit best.

Qualifications

• Builders merchant experience, either as Branch Manager or ready for first branch
• Sales-driven approach with time spent with customers
• Commercial awareness across pricing, margin, and stock
• Hands-on leader who sets the standard for the team
• Knowledge of the Somerset trade customer base is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the branch P&L and drive sales, margin, and profitability
• Win new trade accounts and take market share from local competitors
• Meet customers on site and build relationships with builders, contractors and developers
• Set stock and pricing to compete locally
• Lead, motivate and develop the branch team to sell and serve effectively
• Deliver high standard of service to trade and retail customers
• Keep the branch safe and compliant with strong health and safety standards
