Job summary

Harbourne Associates seeks a Sales Director in Ipswich to lead the commercial function and drive growth in a market-leading construction materials business. The role is based in Ipswich with no home-working, requiring commutable distance.

You will own sales performance, forecasts and commercial reporting, develop strategies to increase revenue and market share, and lead the sales team to exceed objectives while maintaining key customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior commercial role leading teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes or construction/building materials.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and functions.
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue objectives.
• Experience creating and implementing a sales strategy.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for sales performance, targets, forecasts and commercial reporting.
• Develop and implement sales and commercial strategies to increase revenue, profitability and market share.
• Drive proactive prospecting, lead generation, networking and business development to engage new customers.
• Lead sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Lead, mentor and develop commercial and sales teams to achieve objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Oversee end-to-end management of tenders and contracts, ensuring timely, sound submissions.
