Fleet Alliance, a Glasgow-based fleet management and vehicle leasing business, seeks a Sales Director to drive profitable growth and lead the sales organisation. You will report to the MD and shape the company’s sales strategy while fostering strong customer and partner relationships.
Responsibilities include owning targets, guiding a leadership team, and ensuring effective lead generation, forecasting, and margin management in a growing UK-wide operation.
Fleet Alliance is a Glasgow-based, UK-wide fleet management and vehicle leasing business specialising in helping organisations manage, finance and operate their company vehicle fleets. Founded in 2002, the business has developed from an independent leasing broker into a multi-award-winning fleet management provider, supporting customers ranging from small businesses with a handful of vehicles to large corporate fleets.
Fleet Alliance has built a strong position in the SME and corporate fleet market. Prior to its recent acquisition, the business managed more than 30,000 vehicles, with a combined asset value of approximately £1 billion, and delivered more than 5,000 vehicles annually. It has developed a strong reputation for customer service and fleet expertise, alongside an increasing focus on electrification and sustainable mobility.
A major milestone for Fleet Alliance came in June 2025, when it was acquired by Global Vehicle Group (GVG), a portfolio company of private-equity firm H2 Equity Partners. The acquisition brought Fleet Alliance together with GVG’s other specialist businesses, including Global Vans, XLCR and LCV Group. Collectively, the group now manages more than 70,000 vehicles, with a combined funded value exceeding £2.5 billion, and delivers around 18,000 vehicles annually to business customers across the UK.
In October 2026, it was formally announced that H2 Equity Partners had successfully divested their stake in GVG to Palladian Investment Partners who will lead the group through it’s next phase of growth.
Importantly, post-acquisition, Fleet Alliance has retained its own brand and leadership structure rather than being absorbed into GVG. The company’s leadership team has remained in place, allowing Fleet Alliance to retain its established customer relationships and market identity while benefiting from the resources and scale of the wider group.
This is a high-impact leadership position for an ambitious sales professional keen to play a central role in the continued growth and development of Fleet Alliance, working alongside the Managing Director and senior leadership team, with the potential to progress into a broader leadership role in the future.
The Sales Director will have overall responsibility for driving profitable revenue growth across Fleet Alliance Ltd, developing and executing the company’s sales strategy and ensuring the sales organisation consistently delivers against ambitious commercial targets.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business while maintaining a strong focus on sales performance, customer acquisition, retention and margin.
The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on commercial drive, bringing energy, pace and accountability to a growing sales organisation.
