About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales team focusing on contract placements. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude for sales leadership within the recruitment industry; this could be demonstrated through specific experience or through your demonstrated potential. You will be responsible for hiring and developing consultants, driving sales growth, developing client relationships, and ensuring successful contract placements.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  1. Create a fun, inspiring, and productive culture within your sales team.
  2. Hire, train, and develop high-performing recruitment consultants, building a team capable of delivering outstanding results.
  3. Coaching & Mentorship: Foster continuous improvement with performance reviews, constructive feedback, and tailored development plans for individual growth.
  4. Lead by example to develop a high-performance culture, where each team member thrives.

Client Growth & Relationship Management:

  1. Develop & Execute Sales Strategy: Build and implement long-term client development plans to enhance relationships and increase client retention.
  2. Expand key accounts and drive new business to ensure sustainable growth.
  3. Work closely with the Fulfilment Centre to ensure seamless candidate delivery that exceeds client expectations.

Operational Excellence & Reporting:

  1. Monitor and analyse sales metrics (contract margins, extensions, and client expansions) to ensure the team hits target KPIs.
  2. Take ownership of sales performance in the senior management team, providing insights and solutions for continued success.
  3. Ensure the team consistently meets contract placements goals, contributing to a growing and profitable contractor book.

  1. Proven leadership experience in sales management within recruitment, staffing, or professional services.
  2. A strategic thinker who is hands-on with a results-driven approach.
  3. Strong background in account expansion and client development within Northern Europe.
  4. Ability to inspire and motivate an experienced team to reach and exceed sales targets.
  5. Commercially astute and adaptable, with a focus on team development and client satisfaction.
  6. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
