Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Sales Assistant/Driver in Barking to ensure outstanding customer service and efficient store operations. You will assist in-store colleagues and the UK Sales Team to drive sales, handle customer deliveries to homes and businesses, and contribute to a positive, professional customer experience across the Dulux Decorating Centres network.

The role requires a proven customer service background, a valid driving licence, teamwork, and composure under pressure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service/retail role.
• Valid driving licence.
• Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.
• Calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Play an active part in engagement planning & monthly store meeting sessions.
• Ensure customers receive a warm welcome, an informed conversation & a personalised proposal.
• Use our client service tools to ensure a consistent customer experience.
• Support your store’s monthly customer contact plan.
• Follow the merchandising plan to restock the shop floor.
• Load the van & plan delivery routes.
• Develop your skills & encourage colleagues to do so using our training tools.
