Job summary

Leisure Lakes Bikes is recruiting a Sales Assistant for our Ulverston store. You’ll engage customers with expert product advice, help riders find suitable gear, and contribute to a welcoming, high-energy shop floor environment.

Join a family-run retailer known for exceptional service, generous staff discounts, and a Cycle to Work scheme. You’ll work six days a week with standard retail hours, including weekends, in a busy cycling store environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cycling environment preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and product knowledge.
• Availability to work across store hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and product advice.
• Operate the till/EPOS system for sales and transactions.
• Manage stock and assist with stock takes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers as needed.
• Support shop operations to ensure smooth daily running.

Role Requirements

As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of our store. You will be working on a busy shop floor, assisting customers with product advice, answering questions, and helping riders find the right solutions for their needs.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge
• Operating our workshop diary and booking system
• Using the EPOS till system
• Managing stock and assisting with stock takes
• Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers
• Undertaking general shop duties to support the smooth running of the store

Working Hours

Our Ulverston store operates Six days per week (Closed Sundays) with trading hours typically ranging from 9:30am to 5:30pm. Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work across these operating hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
