Job summary

Smyths Toys is seeking a Sales Assistant at the Merry Hill location, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment. This temporary contract offers a competitive pay rate of £12.90 per hour for candidates over 21, with opportunities to learn and develop within a leading toy retailer.

Ideal candidates will have retail experience but enthusiasm and flexibility are paramount as the stores operate seven days a week.

• Retail experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
• Flexibility to work as our stores are open 7 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
