Smyths Toys, a leading retailer of children's toys, is seeking Sales Assistants for its team. This temporary role offers pay rates of £12.90 per hour for those over 21 and £11.00 per hour for those under 21.

The ideal candidate will have retail experience but it's not essential. Responsibilities include customer service and maintaining store standards. The company offers a benefits package, including pension schemes and discounts, and emphasizes equal opportunities.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in outdoor/bikes, nursery, software & gaming, backdoor/warehouse is highly desirable but not essential.
• Flexibility required as stores are open 7 days a week.

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21.

• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Outdoor/Bikes
• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
