Job summary

Poundland is seeking a Seasonal Sales Assistant to join our festive team. You’ll act as a cheerful brand ambassador, delivering excellent customer service and helping keep the store well stocked and tidy.

You’ll work with a friendly team, support deliveries, and assist at checkouts. We provide training to help you shine during the busy season and welcome applicants with or without prior retail experience.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not required.
• Good organisation and attention to detail, especially on tills.
• Positive, friendly, can-do attitude and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and maintain product availability.
• Provide friendly, proactive customer service on the shop floor.
• Assist with deliveries and stock replenishment.
• Support checkout operations and ensure tills run smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

About The Role

Join us at Poundland during this festive period as a Seasonal Sales Assistant and help make the most magical shopping season of the year even brighter for our customers.

As one of Poundland's Elves on the shop floor, you’ll be a festive ambassador for our brand, creating a warm, welcoming, and merry shopping experience every day. You'll be part of a friendly and energetic team, keeping shelves stocked with all those essential items, delivering fantastic customer service, supporting deliveries, ensuring the checkouts run smoothly, and helping maintain a safe, tidy, and cheerful store environment. We're looking for team players with a positive, can-do attitude and a friendly approach. Good organisation and attention to detail, especially when working on the tills, are essential. Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not a requirement. We’ll provide all the training you need to help you shine, because every member of our team plays an important part in making this, the most wonderful time of the year, a success.

This role will start soon and last until the end of December, and we may require you to work different shifts based on store needs, therefore flexibility is key.
